We are very pleased to announce a new date for the talk on Swifts, which Wild about Warnham had to be postpone earlier in the year.
The new date is Friday 6 October 2023.
The venue is Warnham Village Hall. Start time: 7.30pm (doors open at 7.00pm – admission £2, payable on the door).
Wild About Warnham are extremely fortunate to have Edward Mayer as speaker. Edward is one of this country’s leading experts on the Swift, a bird which has now been added to the Red List and for which Wild About Warnham has been taking action to help the local population.
The title of Edward’s talk is ‘Swifts – The Birds You Need’
Edward has worked for several Government agencies and for twelve years he was head of the department managing the property, infrastructure, and facilities of the Tate Gallery in London. His talk will be inspirational and is one not to miss!
Please book your place in advance
As there is a slight chance that industrial action on the railways might continue into the autumn, making it tricky for the speaker to get to Warnham, please reserve your place in advance by emailing butterfly0@btinternet.com or by texting me on 078 408 71755 providing at the same time your email address and mobile phone number, so Wild About Warnham can let you know if there are any last-minute hiccups. This will also help them to plan refreshments and seating arrangements in the hall.
